Dr. Nakahata, a Japanese researcher, studied inflammation in brain cell preparations (inflammation of the brain plays a major role in the pathology of MS) and he strongly suggested that the Mangosteen held promise as an MS aid. |

I know someone locally who was diagnosed with MS 6 years ago. She has been on the mangosteen juice for just a couple of months at the most, and attributes her much improved symptoms totally to the juice. I'll see if I can't catch up with her at a sales' meeting to see if she will type out her story for me which I will then pass on to this group.
My 80-yr-old mother also has MS. She has lived with me for 13.5 years. I have been her caregiver during this time. I started her on the mangosteen juice about 2 months ago, also (1 ounce, 3x per day with meals) and have noticed improvements in what used to be chronic conditions of the bowel. Not anymore.
Since she has had the disease of MS for FIFTY years, I do not expect her to get up out of her wheelchair and walk again, but her quality of life has definitely improved since being on the juice.

Free Radicals - Cell Damage |
The human body produces free radicals during everyday life. Free radicals are atoms or groups of atoms with an odd number of (unpaired) electrons. Free radicals are very unstable and react quickly with other compounds. Once formed, free radicals can start a chain reaction of cell damage finally resulting in death of the cell. Xanthone is a compound found in mangosteen fruit that contains antioxidants. |
